The Good Need Project was excited for the opportunity to uplift Trista, a single mother of five kids, Emily, Hunter, Kaisyn, Gavin, and Cadent. After her full time work hours were cut by over 50%, Trista turned to Facebook for help.
We found her post on a Houston community page, and we were inspired by her courage to ask for help.
So, we reached out to hear her story.
Over the years, Trista has won her battle with addiction, overcame predatory agencies, and has beaten all odds to make it this far with her family intact. To make ends meet, Trista had already accepted a second part-time job, but in the meantime she still needed help.
We were inspired by her resilience, and nobody got where they are without support. Thanks to our donors, we were able to provide Trista’s family with a micro-grant to cover her remaining rent and groceries until she starts her second job. We are also providing a personalized budgeting plan to tackle her expenses and boost her savings!
